Former Black Stars right-back, John Paintsil, insists that new players getting call-ups to main tournament ahead of those who played in the qualifiers is normal.

He urged Otto Addo, 47, to select players who understand his philosophy and play to his instructions.

Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Patrick Pfeiffer and other players gave switched to feature for Ghana.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Salisu have finally availed himself for Black Stars, after dragging his debut call-up into the Ghanaian national team.
Ghana have qualified for the mundial in Qatar later this year, and are in the same group with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
John Paintsil insists that it's not new for new players to feature at the main tournament ahead of the old lads who played in the qualifiers.
"It's up to him to invite players who will fit his system and philosophy to make sure that he has the right philosophy going forward," Paintsil said.
"So we now become the supporters and spectators. We cannot decide for the coach, if the coach decides to go with the players (that played) the qualifies or blend them together or go with the youth and experience, we all need to support.
"That thing has been happening, players play qualifies and they don't get the opportunity to play in the main tournament so its part of the game," he insisted.
