Hearts of Oak have sincerely apologized to their supporters following their humiliating display and defeat in Mali last Saturday.

The 'Phobians' were marmalized by 3-0 against Real Bamako at the Stade 26 Mars in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the 2022/23 CAF Champions League.

The Rainbow club are already experiencing a jittery start to the season locally and looked like worsen it after their first continental challenge, despite sacking their coach though one can argue it is too early for this.
This has honestly left most of their fans grieved and gradually losing hope in the club as to whether they can compete their arch rivals Asante Kotoko for the league.
With this, the team have apologised to their supporters and have pledged to grind better results in their subsequent matches to leave all smiles on their faces. They posted on their official Facebook handle;
"We sincerely apologize for the loss. We will work extra hard to put smiles on the faces of all Phobians."
"We are grateful to our fans who came to support us against Real Bamako. To our fans back home we say thank you as well. We never say die."
The team will leave the shores of Mali today with same travelling arrangement, as they will transit in Togo and proceed to the country just like they did when departing off.
