Ghana Football Association spokesperson, Ibrahim Saanie Daara says his outfit goofed on announcing Coach Sellas Tetteh as the Black Queens of Ghana new head coach.
The experienced trainer was announced by the Ghana FA as the new head coach of the female senior national team of the West African country few weeks ago.
According Mr. Daara, he and his team at the communication department of the Ghana Football made a mistake on Sellas Tetteh's appointment publication.
Black Queens of Ghana have been without a head coach after the departure of Coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani who is currently working with Danish side FC Nordjaelland.
"We made a mistake on the publication that Coach Sellas Tetteh has been appointed to takeover the Black Queens. We have not officially spoken to him on the coaching job," Daara told Accra-based radio station Asempa FM
"It's not that we are doubting his competence. He is a one of the finest coaches in the country but no contract have been signed."
Assistant Coach Mercy Tagoe is now in charge as the Black Queens participate in the ongoing WAFU Women's Cup in Ivory Coast.
