MATCH REPORT: Black Queens beat Nigeria on penalties to qualify for WAFU Cup final Featured

Coach Mercy Tagoe and her charges are through to the finals of the maiden WAFU Women's Cup following a victory over Nigeria on Thursday night.
Black Queens of Ghana managed to beat Nigeria 5-4 on penalties after the entire duration of the semi-finals fixture ended in a 1-1 draw at Francville Sports Stadium.
The Super Falcons mounted pressure on Ghana to register the opener before the quarters of the game.
Portia Boakye nearly opened the score for the Black Queens in the early minutes of the game but his venomous strike went wide.
The Nigerians snatched the opener in the 9th minute of the game through Alice Ogebe.
Defender Faustina Ampah grabbed the equaliser for Coach Mercy Tagoe and her charges in the 17th minute of the match.
Both sides failed to find the back of the net as the first ended in a one-all draw.
After the recess, Ghana's Black Queens dominated the game with their brilliant passes but couldn't net a match-winner.
The match ended in a 1-1 stalemate as Ghana progressed after whipping their arch-rivals on penalties.
Ghana will now face host nation Ivory Coast in the grand finale on Saturday.
