The board members of Accra Hearts of Oak have appointed former Global Chief Commercial Officer for the World Surf League, Mark Noonan as the club's new managing director.
Kickgh.com understands that the American arrived in the country on Tuesday evening to assume work with one of the Ghana Premier League heavyweights.
The American was spotted at the Rainbow Club training grounds at Legon Ajax Park on Wednesday morning and will be unveiled in the coming days per Kickgh.com sources.
Mr. Noonan helped World Surf League to secure partnership deal witb TAG Heuer, Jeep, Visa, Airbnb and other top level companies during his stint as their Global Chief Commercial Officer.
He also secured a mouthwatering deal aroud USD 20m sponsorship deal from Citigroup for New York Mets.
Noonan was an Executive Vice President for Major League Soccer and Soccer United Marketing, CMO of U.S. Soccer and Director of Integrated Marketing for the iconic sports beverage brand, Gatorade.
Hearts of Oak have been without a managing director director after the departure of Mr. Gerald Ankrah.
