A Deputy Attorney General, Godfred Dame has warned the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association to desist from exercising their powers following interlocutory injunction by the Court.

Earlier today, the High Court in Accra, granted the application by the Attorney General to ban officials of the FA indefinitely from holding their duties.

Godfred Odame has reiterated that the GFA can write to FIFA despite Court's order but they must respect laws of the country.

"The Executive members can't hold any meeting at all," Godfred Odame to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

"They (FA officials) can petition FIFA but they must respect the laws of the country," he added.

Following Anas Aremeyaw Anas' video exposé the government has decided to dissolve the GFA.

He claimed that FIFA has no problem against the government enforcing its laws.

"FIFA has indicated that they have nothing against the government enforcing it domestic laws. As far as it's an attempt to deal with criminality and illegality," he claimed.

"The laws of this country empower the Attorney General to prepare petition to dissolve the FA. "Also, the A-G is empowered to take over the FA's assets as well as restricting the officials from holding their meeting at all except Ghalca," he added.

Government has formed Liaison team to ensure the continuity of football following their quest to dissolve the FA.
