Government will not take over GFA - Accra Mayor Featured

The mayor of Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Mohammed Agyei- Sowah has sidelined reports that government is willing to manage football affairs after the Ghana FA is eventually dissolved.
The country's football activities has ceased following Anas Aremeyew Anas' documentary -- which the government has decided to dissolve the FA.
But Mohammed Agyei-Sowah has opined government intervention does not demonstrate their interest in managing the GFA.
"I don't think it's in the interest of government to take over the GFA," Agyei-Sowah said on Kumasi-based Angel FM.
FIFA and CAF in collaboration with the government have formed two-member Liaison team to ensure normalcy in regarding the current situation.
The AMA Boss urged the team to be quick in their work.
"However, I urge the liaison team to speed up the process so that the GFA will be properly  constituted in order for the national teams to complete in the international tournament," he added.
