4 Managers That Could Replace Paa Kwesi Fabin As Asante Kotoko Boss After Shock Exit

With Paa Kwesi Fabin’s reign at Asante Kotoko coming to an end following his resignation last week, kickgh.com attempts look at 4 coaches that could replace him.
The former national skipper is among those highly tipped to take over the vacant position at the club.
Having left Ashgold after orchestrating their fine run of form that saw them leading the league for some weeks and playing some eye-pleasing football, Akonnor is enjoying a well- earned break, but the former national star is sure to relish a chance to show his managerial abilities, should the Kotoko job come up.
Proven at a top- class club having once worked with Hearts of Oak, he’s also managed Sekondi Eleven Wise and Dreams FC and would bring fresh ideas to the already good- looking Asante Kotoko side.
With several years of experience in management that has seen him work with Heart of Lions, Hearts of Oak, Berekum Chelsea, Techiman City and Aduana Stars.
Yusif Abubakar could potentially offer that head needed at Kotoko at the moment.
He guided Aduana Stars to the league title last season but unfortunately met with a tumultuous time this term leading to his exit after some disappointing results domestically and in continental competitions.
A club legend, former coach, Konadu would simply take a nanosecond to say ‘yes’ should he be offered the position of a manager.
Currently working with the Black Stars as one of two assistants of Kwesi Appiah, Konadu would relish the opportunity to return to the club that shot him to prominence during his playing days and fill the void left by Fabin.
Konadu is not new to the post as he was at the helm when Asante Kotoko won the league in the 2011/12 season.
With his role with the Black Stars, Konadu would not take lightly the decision to leave his current post but a return to Kotoko is a possibility
Whenever a vacancy with one of the big names of Ghanaian football comes up, Bashir Hayford is always mentioned among the usual suspects.
Currently with Ebusua Dwarfs and the Black Queens, Hayford is a proven winner and have won the championship with two different clubs; Asante Kotoko and Ashgold.
He is credited with the transformation of Afful Harrison and Samuel Inkoom and was praised for his entertaining brand of football.
Bashir Hayford will be a popular choice to fill the vacant position if fans’ forums are to be believed.
