Thomas Partey nominated for CAF Player of the Year Award

Ghana midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has been named among the thirty-four players to vie for the CAF men player of the year Award.
 
The 25-year-old earned the nomination following his sterling performance for his club Atletico Madrid as well as the Black Stars of Ghana.
 
He has netted two goals with two assists in his 15 appearances for Atletico Madrid this season.
 
Also, he captained Ghana in friendlies against Japan and Iceland in June this year.
 
Partey has also been shortlisted for the BBC African Player of the year award.
 
According to CAF, the Awards Gala, to honour footballers and officials who distinguished themselves during the year under review, will be held on Tuesday, 8 January 2019 in Dakar, Senegal
