NC Special Cup Report: Elmina Sharks 1-0 Inter Allies - Sharks pip Allies at home

Elmina Sharks finished the Normalization Committee Special Competition on a high note with a 1-0 victory against Inter Allies at the Nduom Sports Complex at Elmina.

Benjamin Tweneboah's only goal from the spot gave the "Botweako Mma" all the three points needed.

In a flashy all witty first 45 minutes where both sides kept a good defense to prevent each other from scoring, chances came far and in between to get the game a stanza.

In the second half, both sides sold a better football in a rugged encounter with Inter Allies receiving two yellow cards to Bernard Quarcoo and Samuel Armah before the hour mark.

Captain Michael Otou fought hard to get his side a goal but his efforts run wide off target including Emmanuel Hammond's curler that failed to enter the net on the 67th minute.

The home side were awarded a penalty kick on the 74th minute and Benjamin Tweneboah took the mantle and slotted home to the break the deadlock on the 75th minute.

Inter Allies pushed for the equalizer by bringing on Dan Amanfoo but his presence gave little to the game as Elmina Sharks won the game via Tweneboah's lone goal.
