MATCH REPORT: Ghana 0-0 South Africa - Black Stars wrap up Pre-AFCON friendlies without a win

The Black Stars of Ghana were held to a scoreless draw by South Africa in Pre-AFCON friendly in Dubai this afternoon.

Ghana shared spoils with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in an international friendly at the Dubai Police Academy Park.

Coach Kwesi Appiah and his charges wrapped up their preparations for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations with a 0-0 draw with South Africa.

The Black Stars started the match on a good note as Christian Atsu, Andre Ayew and Jordan Ayew came close from netting the opener before recess.

South Africa duo Thami Mkhize and Percy Tau also had two goal glaring opportunities on the stroke of halftime but failed to find the back of the net.

After lack of goals in the first half, Ghana continued to dominate the match with Wakaso Mubarak, Samuel Owusu and Kwabena Owusu who were introduced after the break.

Both sides could been found guilty for squandering the chances created and set-pieces awarded to them by the referee.

A late header from Asamoah Gyan nearly handed the Black Stars a victory but it was saved by the post as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.
