NC TIER-2 SPECIAL CUP: Ashanti Gold coach Kjetil Zachariassen delighted after whitewashing Kotoko to progress to finals

Ashanti Gold head coach Kjetil Zachariassen has expressed delight in his side 3-1 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Normalisation Committee's Tier-2 Special Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Obuasi-based club have qualify to the finals of the Tier-2 competition after beating their regional-rivals Kotoko by 3-1 in Accra yesterday.

The Norwegian tactician has stressed happiness in their triumph over the Porcupine Warriors.

"I'm happy to win against Kotoko. I think we were quiet smart. And we know the capacity we have in running," told reporters.

"The pitch was in difficult condition. I think we were the team that really want to win. We showed who we are. We're quiet strong in every position," he ended.

Ashanti Gold will meet division one side Nzema Kotoko, who beat Unistar Academy by 2-1 in Cape Coast, on Wednesday June 26, 2019.
