Samuel Owusu makes AFCON debut; but lasted only 24 minutes

FK Cukaricki winger Samuel Kwame Owusu played his first-ever Africa Cup of Nations game for Ghana against Benin on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old was in action as the senior national team of Ghana were held to a 2-2 draw by Benin at the Ismailia Stadium.
The Serbi-based forward replaced Thomas Agyepong who sustained a thigh injury during the match on the 35th minute.
Unfortunately, he was substituted after John Boye was sent off for picking a second yellow card on the 55th minute.
The former Vision FC star was replaced by Columbus Crew defender Jonathan Mensah on 59th minute after enjoying 24 minutes.
Owusu earned a debut call-up to the senior national team following his explosive performance in the Serbian Super Lig where he scored seven goals with 10 assists in 33 games.
