Special Assistant to Kotoko Executive Chairman, Nana Kwasi Gyambibi has stated that supporters of the club should ignore any rumour about the sack of their gaffer Kjetil Zacchariassen.

The Norwegian has come under intense pressure following his failure to guide the 'Reds' to achieve group stage target of CAF Champions League set by the management of the club.

The Porcupine Warriors failed to build on their 2-0 victory in the first leg against Etoil Du Sahel at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. The club suffered 3-0 defeat which saw them dropped from CAF's elite competition to Confederation Cup.

There are rumours that the management of the club is in talks with a German tactician to succeed Kjetil Zacchariassen after his poor approach against Etoile Du Sahel.

But the Special Assistant to Dr. Kwame Kyei ,Nana Kwasi Gyambibi has written on his Twitter page that the supporters should discard it.

"Hearing Zachariassen's imminent sack rumor makes me a bit nervous. Who could possibly deliver such falsehoods to deceive the masses like that? Kotoko fans are however entreated to discard the rumour"
The Ghanaian giants are expected to land in Ghana today to start preparations for the CAF Confederation Cup.
