MATCH REPORT: Ghana 2-0 South Africa - Black Stars start 2021 AFCON qualification campaign with victory

Coach Kwesi Appiah and his charges commenced their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers campaign with a resounding win over South Africa.

Black Stars inflicted a 2-0 defeat on the Bafana Bafana in their Group C opener at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
 
The early minutes of the match looked balanced but the Black Stars managed to end the first half in a 1-0 lead.
 
Spain-based midfielder Thomas Teye Partey snatched the lead for the Black Stars on the 35th minute of the game.
 
Substitute Kudus Mohammed doubled the score for the West African country with a stunning strike on the 80th minute.
 
Ghana will fly out for their second Group C fixture against Sao Tome and Principe on Monday.
