The new Ghanaian football season kicked off across the country. At the Baba Yara Sports stadium , the Porcupine Warriors were 1-0 winners over Techiman Eleven Wonders but the gaffer of the porcupine warriors isn't enthused by the display churned out by his boys especially in the second half.

Asante Kotoko took the lead in the 4th minute of the game through their midfield general Justice Blay whose beautiful header went beyond the reach of John Mosie to register not only the only goal in the game but also the first in the 2019/2020 season .

Kotoko started the game with great gusto, dictating the game but unfortunately for Konadu , the intensity dropped for his charges after the interval which ushered in a good showing by the Techiman lads.

At the post match presser, coach Maxwell Konadu registered his displeasure at the performance of his boys and warn them against subsequent occurences.

"The season is still young and there are many teams who equally wants to win the league hence we need to be competitive"

"We can't continue to play like this and expect to win the league"

"It's early days yet and we can't promise anything but, we know what we can offer our teaming fans , we are also here trying to win the league"

A date with Wa All Stars now  rechristened Legon Cities, is a good test to assess the readiness of Maxwell Konadu and his players in their pursuit of the league title.
