Former Ebusua Dwarfs coach J.E Sarpong has blamed the Ghana Football Association for the cancellation of the 2019/2020 Premier League claiming they "did not put in enough effort" to ensure the league continue.

The 2019/2020 football season was cancelled after a seven-hour marathon meeting by the Ghana FA Executive Council on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
The experienced gaffer, Sarpong claims the Football Association did not show any effort to continue the premier league after the suspension in March.
"The inaction of the Ghana Football Association caused the cancellation of the league," Coach J.E Sarpong told Kumasi-based radio station Akoma FM .
He continued "they (Ghana FA) didn't put in enough effort to get the league re-started. They didn't do enough to ensure that the league bounces back," Sarpong claimed.
The outspoken Coach added that "Clubs must make a case for compensation for all the wasted effort and resources caused by the cancellation of the league".
