Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed's proposed move to the AshantiGold SC has hit snag.


Former Asante Kotoko striker Yahaya Mohammed has confirmed that his switch to the Obuasi based club on a season-long loan deal has collapsed.

Mohammed explained in an interview with Wontumi FM that he has refused to leave Aduana Stars after a meeting with the club's owner Nana Agyemang Badu I.
Management of the Obuasi-based club reached an agreement to secure Yahaya Mohammed on a season-long loan deal for their 2020/21 CAF Confederation League campaign.
“Ashgold were willing to sign me on loan and I tried everything possible to join them [Ashgold]. I don’t have the final power because I have a running contract with Aduana Stars and I have to respect that. They [Aduana Stars] have the final authority and whatever they’ve decided, am cool with it”, Mohammed told Wontumi FM
“Currently, am not ready to play for any local club aside Aduana Stars.. Nana Agyemang Badu II is my father and after meeting him, I have decided to obey his decision and am staying at Aduana Stars”,
Mohammed had an incredible with Aduana Stars in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
He scored eleven goals in 15 appearances for the Dormaa-based club which earned him a call-up to the Black Stars of Ghana ahead of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Mohammed was adjudjed Ghana Premier League player of the month for January.
