The Porcupine Warriors have cancelled the contract of former Aduana Stars utility player after eight months, can exclusively confirm.

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have terminated the contract of Sam Adams ahead of the 2020/21 season.

The 30-year-old was declared as surplus to requirement by the Porcupine Warriors' technical team led by Coach Maxwell Konadu following his poor performance. can exclusively confirm that the experienced midfielder reached an agreement with the club officials earlier today to abrogate his contract.
Adams, who can function as a right-back, central midfielder and left-winger, joined Asante Kotoko after seeing through his five-year contract with Aduana Stars.
The diminutive player played a key role in the Dormaa Ahenkro-based club's run to the 2016/17 Premier League title and their Super Cup triumph in 2018. 
He failed to live up to expectation at the Kumasi-based club since his arrival in December last year.
Adams made only three appearances for Asante Kotoko in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic

He becomes the latest player to leave the club after Empem Dacosta, Richard Arthur, Patrick Yeboah and Stephen Ayiku Tetteh.
