Accra Great Olympics General Manager Oluboi Commodore has described Medeama SC as an overrated club after his side held the Takwa-based outfit to a 1-1 stalemate last Sunday in Tarkwa.

Actually nobody gave Olympics a chance to prevail with a point from Tarkwa but that mission was accomplished after Michael Yeboah's powerful header cancelled out Ivorian Ali Ouatara's early lead in the first half.

Following Medeama SC's outstanding performance in recent times, lots of football writers and pundits in the country tipped them as their favourites to win the ongoing Ghana premier league.
The Mauves and Yellows have won 2 FA Cup titles in the last six years having remained on the first position in both the 2017/18 and 2019/20 seasons which were both halted by the 'Number 12 expose' and the coronavirus pandemic respectively.
With this, Oluboi Commodore who happens to be one of the experience football administrators in the country has stated Medeama haven't done anything exceptional but are just overrated.
"I think Medeama SC have been overrated in recent times. Though the coronavirus pandemic affected football this year but in my point of view, I see them to be overrated."
Great Olympics take on Legon Cities on Friday night for there Match Day 2 of the Ghana Premier League.
