The ex-Porcupine Warrior has descended heavily on the club following the capturing of 28-year-old Brazilian international and has described the signing of the import midfielder as a waste of fiscal resources

Former Asante Kotoko Ghana Premier League Player of  the Year Ahmed Toure has launched a scatting attack on management of the Kumasi-based club after recruiting Brazilian midfilelder Fabio Gama, having labelled his signing as ''useless''.

In their determination to stage a strong campaign in this season's domestic and Caf inter-club elite division contests, the Ghanaian record league champions have invigorated their squad with marquee signings both locally and internationally.

The hot-headed former Ivorian-import forward believes the Brazilian-import midfielder will struggle in some match venues on the local scene given their dreadful nature with regards to the playing surfaces.

'“We will pray for him because I have said that Ghana Premier League is not easy. It’s a game of ‘men’. But it also depends on the condition he will play in Ghana,” Toure told Energy FM

“I have seen pictures of the pitch Berekum Chelsea and Kotoko played on. Do you think he [Gama] can play on this kind of pitch? Or you take him to Dormaa, do you think he can play well over there? Are you sure he can play at Tarkwa? Sometimes these things matters.”

''So for me, although Kotoko is my former team and it’s where I started my professional career but for me I think it is useless”, he added.

Toure endeared himself to the Porcupine Warriors fans after clinching the Ghana Premier League Player of the Year accolade for the 2010-11 season with Asante Kotoko.
