Tunisian club US Monastir have announced their contract termination with Ghanaian striker Shafiu Mumuni.
The 25-year-old has been sacked by the Tunisian Liga I Pro club after four months following his poor output since his arrival.
He managed to score only one goal and provided one assist in his 7 game outings for US Monastir in all competitions.
Mumuni rose to prominence at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal, where he hit the first ever hat-trick against Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-finals and netted four times to finish as the tournament's top scorer.
He joined US Monastir on a two-year deal after ending his stint with Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold SC.
