Medeama SC have edged out Inter Allies narrowly by 2-1 at the Akoon Park in match-week 10 of the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

Target man Abass Mohammed brace in the second half ensured the Mauves and Yellows picked their second home victory marking their third in the season so far.

The host started really well having made the first attempt on goal after Agyenim Boateng was played through with a fine pass but the timely intervention from goalkeeper Gideon Ahenkorah prevented him from breaking the deadlock after eight minutes from kickoff.

However after that miss, both teams never exhibited any incursion of going ahead making it somehow a boring first half in Tarkwa.

Coach Samuel Boadu and hid charges came really strong in the second department knowing very well how bad the scenes will look like should they fail to claim all maximum points against struggling Inter Allies especially at their own grounds.

Finally, just what the Tarkwa fans have been waiting for, Abass Mohammed scored to hand Medeama SC the lead on the 51st minute.

The opener unsettled the Capelli Boys to boycott their plan of sitting back and watching their opponents play to come all out in their quest to get back on level terms.

This handed the home side huge opportunity to double their lead on the 64th minute through Abass Mohammed again- who scored to mark his third on the top scoring chat.

Six minutes after going 2-0 up, Inter Allies pressed really high up the field and thankfully they were able to pull one back through forward Nafiu Sulemana.

After 90 minutes plus additional time, looks like the 'Eleven Is To One' lads had all their attempts producing no results giving referee Mahama Ewuntoma no option than to bring the encounter to an end.

Huge victory for Medeama, painful loss for Allies who couldn't rise up from the relegation zone on the league table.
