Odartey Lamptey named Elmina Sharks interim coach Featured

The former Anderlecht and Aston Villa attacker has been appointed to handle the Elmina based club on interim basis.


Ghana Premier League side Elmina Sharks have named Nii Odartey Lamptey as the club's interim head coach following the departure of Yaw Acheampong

Elmina Sharks on Thursday announced that their contract with Yaw Acheampong as head coach has been abrogated following the club's recent poor performance.
Acheampong left the club with his assistant trainer Felix Aboagye and goalkeepers' trainer Nana Mbrah.
The club is now in search for a substantive head coach to guide them for the 2020/21 season's campaign.
Odartey Lamptey who is the owner of Glow-Lamp Academy will be in charge as interim coach until a substantive head coach will be appointed.
During Odartey's heir days, he played for  Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven, Coventry City and capped 38 times for the senior national team of Ghana where he scored eight goals.
