The Algerian heavyweights have had their bid for the in-form Porcupine Warriors' marksman rejected as it was deemed unfit to prise him away from his current side this term, according to reports in the local media

Asante Kotoko have turned down a bid from Algerian elite division side USM Algers for the services of lethal weapong Kwame Opoku.

The 21-year-old, who is currently on the radar of fellow Algerian top-flight nemesis ES Setif as well as Egyptian giants Zamalek SC, has been on fire  for the Reds as his scoring exploits have gone unnoticed leaving admirers jostling over his signature on the continent this term.

According to reports in the Ghanaian press, USM Algers tabled an amount of 300,000 euros for the former Nkoranza Warriors goal poacher, but the figures have been deemed insufficient by his current employers as it did not meet their valuation for their prized asset.

Opoku has so far netted 8 times for Asante Kotoko in all competitions this season.

The former FK Čukarički trialist is currently in the Black Stars team preparing for the upcoming  2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
