Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have handed their players and officials a four day break after ending the first phase of the ongoing 2020/21 season.

The entire team was asked to go on break starting from today, March 8 and supposed to return to Tarkwa on March 12 2021 to prepare for the second round.

The Mauves and Yellows recorded a crucial point last Sunday in Berekum thanks to Prince Opoku Agyemang's second half equaliser holding the Bibres to a 1-1 stalemate to grind a top four spot on the league standing.
The Tarkwa-based outfit commenced the campaign on a lower note but have been really good in the new year having remained unbeaten since losing in the 'Nzema Derby' in week 11 including a crucial 1-2 away win at Elmina.
Medeama SC having gone six games unbeaten currently sit 4th on the league table with 27 points, trailing the leaders with just four hoping to catch up in the early stages of the second phase.
The newly appointed Technical team led by Coach Yaw Acheampong will welcome back the players at training this Friday to begin preparations for their crunchy and herculean clash against second-place Great Olympics in Accra.
