MATCH REPORT: Andy Kumi, Michael Vinicius gets debut goals as Asante Kotoko wallop Bechem United in Obuasi Featured

Coach Mariano Barreto exhibited a masterclass in his first game at the bench for Kotoko after marmalizing Bechem United by 4-0 at the Len Clay Stadium to clear out a week 16 outstanding fixture of the ongoing campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors with a bright start of the game making an early attempt on the 2nd minute after Andy Kumi Francis headed from Imoro Ibrahim's cross but ball went straight at the throat of the visitors goalkeeper.

In the second half, the Hunters started on a higher having won a free kick at a very advantageous position but their quest for the equaliser from that set piece was only cleared out by Habib Mohammed  with a header from their area.
 
The demolition exercise proceeds in Obuasi as Asante Kotoko netted their third of the day after Andy Kumi Francis connected with a beautiful header from Imoro's cross to mark his debut goal for his new club in the league.
 
Bechem United attacking really strong in the second half trying to fire from all cylinders which resulted them another free kick just behind the Kotoko's edge of the box but Emmanuel Asante's effort went too wide.
 
The host scores their fourth of the day after new Brazilian import Michael Vinicius came off the bench to get his debut goal after curling into the net as a rebound to Godfred Asiamah's early effort which was blocked by the Hunters back line.
 
Referee's whistle to bring proceedings to an end in Obuasi, total dominance from Asante Kotoko who have now leapfrogged bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak to the third position with 31 points.
