Former Management member of Asante Kotoko, Solomon Ofosu-ware, has revealed that the Ghanaian giants has not progressed as it is supposed to progress owing to powerful struggle.

According to the former Management member, a lot of people want the Kotoko job which sometimes creates enmity amongst and pulling him Syndrome.

Speaking on Opemsuo 104.7 fm evening sports show, Pramaso, he revealed that one of the factors jeopardising Kotoko's progress is the fact that people want to see whoever is steering the affairs of the club to fail so that he can come and take over.

“Power struggle has been Kotoko's bane and that is why the club has not appreciated as we want it to be. There are a lot of people whose aim is to see people failing so that they can get the opportunity to manage the club.”

He further reiterated that the club can progress when each organ is ready to help the other to succeed.

“Until we collectively push the club forward for its betterment, we should forget any rare success. Each organ in the club should be seen helping each other to succeed.”

He reckoned that since Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is looking to host the club with either Champions League or Confederation Cup, they should all help in achieving that.

“Asantehene has always called on us to win a continental silverware for him, but in other to do that in his subsequent anniversaries, we should do away with the pull him down mentality for the club to flourish.”

The two-time CAF Champions League winners is yet to win a continental silverware over three decades.
