The Ghanaian top-flight league champions have been handed a major boost with the return of the tough-minded midfielder after several months, Kickgh.com can exclusively report.

Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Daniel Kodie will be commencing training with his team after a successful surgery.

Kodie has been out of action for one-and-half year with a career threatened injury in Hearts of Oak's shirt.

The 27-year-old diminutive midfielder sustained the injury during the 2019 GFA Normalization Special Competition.

He was jetted to South To undergo a mandatory knee surgery in May.

Kickgh.com understands that Kodie has completed his rehabilitation to begin personal training next week.

Before the injury, he was a key member of the Hearts of Oak squad after joining them on a three-and-half year deal in 2016.

Kodie is expected to renew his contract with the Capital based club in the coming days.
