FA CUP: Berekum Chelsea beat Kotoko on penalties to secure semis spot Featured

Berekum Chelsea have stunned Asante Kotoko in Obuasi edging them out 4-5 on penalties after a goalless drawn game to cruise into the semi final of the MTN FA Cup.

 

The Porcupine Warriors also parading a strong XI knowing this is the only silverware they can clinch having the likes of Razak Abalora, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Fabio Gama and the Fan's player of the season Mudasiru Salifu.

 
Wahab Adams gets into the line up today to pair Andrews Apau in the heart of defence taking the place of Ganiyu Ismail.

Berekum Chelsea with a quick response after marksman Stephen Amankona also launched  a powerful drive but was punched out by Razak Abalora.
 
Amankona again, penetrates his way through the box after taking off Asmah and sent a belter but missed the poles by few inches. Nearly!.
 
Asante Kotoko drove forward again as Fabio Gama swung in a long one but was piled out to corner which actually resulted in a wasted effort.

Berekum Chelsea looked like have been denied a clear goal which was pushed by Stephen Amankona but the referee rules it out for offside instead.

Both teams again registered no goal in the second extra with the game travelling to penalty shootouts of which Berekum Chelsea won 4-5 on penalties to advance into the semi final. They will play AshantiGold SC.
