Emmanuel Nettey could make a shock return to the Hearts side for their FA Cup semi-final clash with Medeama on Sunday, having initially been ruled out for the rest of the season through injury.

The midfielder injured his foot in the all-important 1-0 victory over rivals Asante Kotoko on June 27, and the original diagnosis dictated that he would not be able to play for the Phobians again this season.

That ruling could have been a touch premature, however, and the midfielder could even be in line to feature against Medeama on Sunday, according to information available to kickgh.com.

Nettey's return to the side would be a huge boost for Hearts and Boadu in their quest to win the double this season. The Phobians have been in good form of late, and have timed their run perfectly in attempting to win the FA Cup.

Emmanuel Nettey's recovery will only improve their chances of beating the Mauves and Yellow as the team has often looked much more potent with him in midfield, but his contribution has been severely hampered by injury issues.
