The Porcupine Warriors have concluded negotiations with Wamanfo Mighty Royals FC to acquire the services of their lanky centre-back for the next three years.

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Maxwell Agyemang Akito from Division One League outfit Wamanfo Mighty Royals FC in the ongoing transfer window.

Agyemang and his representatives have reached an agreement with the management of Asante Kotoko over a three-year deal subjected to medical examination.

Kickgh.com can exclusively report that Asante Kotoko will be announcing the capture of the dependable stopper as their second recruit for the upcoming season after Richmond Lamptey.

It is believed that Asante Kotoko have signed the highly-rated defender as a possible replacement for Abdul Ismail Ganiyu who is dragging his feet to extend his stay at the club.

Abdul Ganiyu is yet to hold talks with the management of Asante Kotoko over a new deal after his three-year contract expired last month.

Agyemang played an instrumental role in Wamanfo Mighty Royals FC campaign where he managed to score three goals in 26 matches in the 2020/21 Division One League zone one season.

Asante Kotoko are currently in talks with several clubs for possible strategic signings after securing highly-rated midfielder Richmond Lamptey from relegated Premier League outfit Inter Allies.
