The Yellow and Mauves lads have reached an agreement with Asante Kotoko over the acquisition of their two players in the ongoing transfer window

Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko are set to announce the signing of Richard Boadu and Samuel Appiah from Medeama SC for their next season's campaign.

Medeama in a statement on Friday confirmed the transfer of the duo to the Kumasi-based club.

The statement reads "We have reached an agreement with Asante Kotoko SC for the permanent transfer of midfielder Richard Boadu and defender Samuel Appiah"

”We thank the two players for their outstanding contributions to the club.”

Appiah joined Medeama SC from Division One League side Phar Rangers FC in 2019.

He had an incredible campaign with Medeama SC during the 2020/21 season, making 22 appearances

With Boadu, he is joining the Kumasi-based club on a four-year deal after his move to Serbian SuperLiga giants FK Partizan Belgrade hit snag despite a successful two-week trial.

He was outstanding for the Yellow and Mauves lads even during the absence of Justice Blay, having cemented the holding role.

Boadu made 24 league appearances, scoring a goal which came against Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League match-week 21 in the just ended campaign
