BREAKING: Asante Kotoko sign youngster Rafiu Yakubu Featured

The Porcupine Warriors have completed their fifteenth signing ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

Ghana Premier League heavyweights Asante Kotoko have officially signed budding talented shot-stopper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu from Wa Suntaa Sporting Club for an undisclosed fee.

 
The lanky goalkeeper has joined the Kumasi-based club on a long-term contract from second-tier outfit Wa Suntaa Sporting Club after a fruitful negotiations.
 
Rafiu Yakubu had stint with Division One League side Nkoranza Warriors SC before switching to join Wa Suntaa SC in the second half of last term.
 
He was one of the highly-rated goalkeepers in the Ghanaian second-tier league zone 1 with Wa Suntaa SC.
 
Kickgh.com can exclusively report that Asante Kotoko will officially announce the signing of the young goalkeeper. He will join Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum's side after their preseason tour in Dubai to continue their preparations for the upcoming season.
 
He becomes the fifteenth signing of Asante Kotoko after Clinton Opoku, Stephen Amankona, Richmond Lamptey, Maxwell Agyemang, Samuel Boateng, Isaac Oppong, Richard Boadu, Dickson Afoakwa, Augustine Agyapong, Sheriff Mohammed, Samuel Appiah and Joseph Amoako.
 
Cameroon duo Mbella Etouga Thiery and George Mfegue have also been signed by Asante Kotoko for their next season's campaign.
 
Asante Kotoko already have three goalkeepers namely Razak Abalora, Ibrahim Danlad and Kwame Baah in their fold.
