Football fans won't have access to the various stadia as the Ghana Premier League look set to commence on Friday, October 29, 2021, per exclusive reports in the local media

Initially, it was communicated that, a certain percentage of supporters will be allowed entry to match venues when the season starts but the latest developments proves otherwise.

According to reports from Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, with just a day to the beginning of the new campaign, there wouldn't be any Covid-19 tests or vaccinations on players and officials of all the 18 clubs in match-week one with the games set to be honoured during the weekend.

However, supporters won't also get access to various match centres to rally behind their various teams in the first week but hopefully amendments could be made subsequently from the second week.

Newly-promoted side Accra Lions will be having their first ever test in the country's topflight as they host Elmina Sharks in a friday night fixture at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in the opening game of the season.

The other matches will continue during the weekend as Asante Kotoko play as guest to Dreams FC, champions Hearts of Oak will start their defence against Legon Cities FC and many more mouthwatering encounters coming up.
