Cities welcome new entrants RTU to the Accra Sports Stadium in a crunch encounter - with both sides hoping to annex a win but the Royal proved too strong for the Pride of the North.
It was the home side who drew first blood through Joseph Adjei as he stunningly heads-in from a corner to give Cities the lead in the 22nd minute.
Adjei’s goal was short lived as David Abagna equalized with a neat finish to make it 1-1 seven minutes later.
Nathaniel Akwah fired a superb free-kick straight into the left top corner to make it 2-1 for the Royals.
Jonah Attuquaye scored the third goal to snatch the win for Cities through a penalty.
Danger man for RTU David Abagna netted the late penalty to score brace to make it 3-2, but that was not enough to help them pull parity and go back to the North with a point.
