The Porcupine Warriors registered a 5-0 victory against lower-tier side Kenpong Academy in a friendly match. Dickson Afoakwa scored his unofficial goal since his arrival a day after pledging to fight for a place in Prosper Ogum's starting eleven.

With his magnetic right foot, he has the penchant of faking a pass, faking a shot, faking a direction in movement before he bursts away and leaves his markers chasing shadows. His teammates and fans alike find it amusing. His opponents, however, don’t find it amusing.

As one of the most talked about new arrivals at the club during preseason, Afoakwa has difficulty locking down a position in the Kotoko and has so far made two substitute appearances. That’s not a bad thing with all the talent bubbling away next to him,

"I am glad to have scored today. I am doing my very best to break into the team and I am optimistic of achieving that if I continue to work hard at the training grounds and the minutes I will be given on match days." He told kickgh.com

Evans Adomako, Stephen Amankona, Solomon Sarfor Taylor, and Cameroonian import Frank Mbelle Etouga were the other scorers on the day.
