Hearts of Oak legend Dan Quaye has stated he is very optimistic his former club is going to pick up their pieces and return to winning ways despite their poor start to the season.

The 'Phobians' have had an appalling start to the season leaving their double defence in a huge jittery as they are yet to grind their first victory after four matches.

They drew their opening three games in the league but suffered their first defeat of the campaign to AshantiGold SC last Sunday in Obuasi.
Speaking in an interview, the former defender has urged all the club supporters to have patience for the coach and his charges for he strongly believe they are going to return to winning ways subsequently and probably defend their league title. He said;
“The league is young so I believe things will change for Hearts of Oak,” Quaye told reporters.
“Even last season, the team did not start well but they ended up winning the Ghana Premier League.”
“I know a team that started well and were on top of the table last season but at the end of the campaign Hearts of Oak overtook them and won the league.”
“I believe they are getting the match fitness after the defeat to WAC of Morocco. The league started not long ago and I trust the confidence level of the players will improve going forward.
“So, the advice I will give to the fans is to exercise patience with the team and I believe things will change.”
Hearts of Oak will play Algerian side JS Saoura this Sunday in the first leg of the playoff round of the CAF Confederations Cup
