A double from Karela United skipper Umar Bashiru ended King Faisal unbeaten home streak this season in their Ghana Premier League match-week 12 fixture on Friday afternoon.

King Faisal suffered a painful 2-0 home loss to Karela United in an epic fixture at the at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

 
The 'Insha Allah' boys failed to bounce back to winning ways after losing to Eleven Wonders last week in Techiman.
 
King Faisal commenced the fixture enjoying majority of the possession but were unlucky upfront as the visitors took the lead before the half-hour mark.
 
Defender Atta Kusi tried his effort with the vision of opening the score but he was heckled by the back line of Karela United in the 18-yard box.
 
The hosts continued their dominance with brilliant passes and fearsome attacks but all the inroads were dealt by the Karela United defenders.
 
Karela United's first dangerous attack on the 'Insha Allah' boys resulted the opener through Umar Bashiru on the 22nd minute of the game.
 
Bashiru made good use of a back-heel pass from Samuel Atta Kumi after dribbling past three defenders of King Faisal to slot the ball beautiful into the yawning net of goalkeeper Frank Boateng.
 
King Faisal had opportunities to level the score in the last ten minute of the game but none of their efforts earned them the equalizer before the break.
 
Karela United nearly doubled the lead through Ebenezer Ocran but his audacious strike went off target as the first half ended in a 1-0 win in favor of the Aiyinase based club.
 
In the second half, Karela United calmly controlled the game with brilliant passes and fearsome attacks which aided them the second goal after the hour mark.
 
Umar Bashiru doubled the lead for Karela United through a spot-kick awarded to them after his teammate Samuel Atta Kumi was fouled by goalkeeper Frank Boateng on the 61st minute of the game.
 
King Faisal failed to come back to the party as Karela United ensured them suffering a back-to-back defeat in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
