Karela United – maintained their home invincibility with a solid 3-1 win over the visiting Elmina Sharks to climb up to the 7th spot with 33points on the summit.

The score line is arguably the most sweetest in the second round of this year’s premier league.

Though it was a game which could have been won by either side, the score line was largely unanticipated. It was one of the worse moment Sharks have gone through in the hands of Karela United.

Karela knew the importance of this match and gave it their all for the maximum points but Sharks frustrated them right from the blast of the referee’s whistle, leaving the Aiyinese fans sitting on tenterhooks throughout the starting embers of the first half.

It was a delightful game as both sides stringed their passes nicely to the delight of the large gathering at the stadium.

NASCO Man of The Match (MoTM) Emmanuel Dagadu’s brace gave Karela all the maximum points to move to the 7th spot.

Elmina Sharks broke the virginity of the game through Michael Ohene Asamoah in the 11th minute. However his goal was cancelled in the 32nd minute by Karela’s Emmanuel Boakye Owusu.

It seems Sharks are ready to exit the league as they must blame themselves for squandering the chances that came their way as the relegation albatross hangs around their neck and skull.
