Asante Kotoko communication member, Patrick Osei Agyemang, says they've accepted head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum's, resignation from his post.

The former Karela United gaffer joined the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2021/22 season from West African Football Academy, replacing Mariano Barreto.

Prosper Narteh led Asante Kotoko to win the Ghana Premier league last season with sixty-seven points, after eight years without the league title.
The University of Cape Coast lecturer informed the board and management of the club about his decision to step down as the head coach in their end of year meeting yesterday.
Narteh Ogum is reported to have a fractious relationship with the management of the club, and had heated exchanges and disagreements on transfer dealings of the club.
Moreover, he's owed more than four months salaries on his reported 26,500 Ghana cedis a-month contract.
Osei Agyemang, also known as Contryman Songo, revealed on his show on Adom TV that they've accepted his resignation because they can't allow Dr. Prosper Narteh to disrespect them.
"The Management has accepted his resignation and we won't go back to him. We won't allow Ogum to intimidate the Board and Management for him to be allowed to do what he wants to do in the club."
"You can't disrespect the Board and Management at a meeting and we will come and beg you to come back," he insisted.
