"Asante Kotoko is bigger than anyone"- Herbert Mensah to Dr. Prosper Narteh Featured

Former Asante Kotokoa Chairman, Herbert Mensah, insists that the club is bigger than anyone after Prosper Narteh's resignation.

Dr. Prosper Narteh joined Asante Kotoko ahead of last season from West African Football Academy, before winning the 2021/22 Ghana Premier league to cement his legacy in the folklore of the Porcupine Warriors.

 
He ended the clubs eight-year league title drought, the last league title was 2013/14 season.
 
Narteh Ogum told the club hierarchy about his 'final' decision to resign at their end of year technical meeting with the management and Board of the club, amidst heated verbal exchanges and disagreements.
 
The club rejected Narteh Ogum's decision to sack ten players and recruit seventeen new players to bolster the squad ahead of their champions league campaign, according to the administrative and operations manager Newton Dasoberi.
 
The Board of the club have denied the resignation of the gaffer insisting that "he's neither resigned or communicated his decision to resign to the Board."
 
Herbert Mensah insists that Asante Kotoko is bigger than anyone, but admits that Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum must be commended for winning the league.
 
"Prosper has resigned as Head Coach from Kotoko after only one season. Hopefully, his departure was amicable especially after winning the league!" as reported by ghanasportspage.com.
 
" He must be commended for helping Kotoko win the league with the support of Nana Yaw and the playing body.
 
"Asante Kotoko is bigger than anyone person though and as they say, there were people before and there will be people who come after he has gone," he insisted.
