It has been a week of thorough football to the delight of many football fans in the country after match-week-four exhausted last weekend but football continued across some selected venues in the country to clear outstanding games that were left behind during the start of the season.

With two outstanding games to play, Bechem United who represented the country in the CAF Confederations Cup but, unfortunately, were eliminated in the first round against MC Algiers, will visit Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium to clear off their match-week-one encounter.

The home side will picket the visitors to a very hot game with the hunger and anger to get all three points as they latch behind the rest of the other fifteen clubs on the league log with only one point after three games.

Returning to the lower divisions will not be the object of Great Olympics this season as they have suffered over the past decade in top-flight football in the country. They will be counting so much on this game to get the result that will catapult them away from the bottom of the table; i.e. only, when they get the win against Bechem United.

So far in the young season we have at our disposal, Great Olympics have not given much hopes to their fans that they have the well-withal to stay in the league after three matches and will adapt a strategy to get all three points against Bechem United this afternoon at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Anything below a win is a lost for Great Olympics as it will not get them away from the fright and shivers of relegation, so thereby, will make Coach Godwin Attram and Captain Dan Quaye lead their charges in throwing in their entire arsenal to get them the desired result against Bechem United this afternoon.

Prolific striker, Abel Manomey should be available this afternoon to give them the hopes of getting goals in this encounter as they have struggled to get them whiles on the nursing bed curing a mild injury.

Bechem United have started poorly in this season’s league as they have only gunned a point out of a possible six after their exit from the CAF Confederations Cup; losing to Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and drawing last weekend to Berekum Chelsea in a “Brong derby.”

Bechem United, under Italian, Vincenzo Annese, have proven to be tough customers to opponents when playing away from home particularly against Kotoko in their first league game of the season at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. They will have to give a replica of the performance they exhibited against Kotoko to get them a much desired result after 90 minutes against Accra Great Olympics.

Their position on the league table remains uncertain as to how and when they will rise above the fifteenth position they place themselves now but can only give glimpses of it in their game against Olympics today.

With both teams leveled on points, this encounter could not have been played on match-day-one as today will give the best out of this game and a win for any of the side will mean moving away from the early relegation battle.
