MATCH REPORT; ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS VS BECHEM UNITED- Bechem leaves Olympics with relegation worries. Featured

One of the outstanding games left to be played between Accra Great Olympics and Bechem United turned out to be a sorrowful game at the Accra Sports Stadium when FA Cup winners, Bechem United, came and conquered Olympics to worsen their woes as the battle to escape relegation starts in earnest.

Bechem United traveled down south and got an important win in the early stages of the season by beating Accra Great Olympics by 3-1 to cut short their thinking of how and when to get the all important three victory in the league to get them the tonic for the rest of the season.

 

As a game of intent by the away side, Yaw Arnold gave Bechem United the early opener on the third minute to unsettle the home side that gave both sides no reason to defend for the rest of the game.

 

Bechem United controlled and bossed the game from then and took it late in the half to get the second goal through Amed Toure on the 35th minute which gave the visiting side a cruise control of the game before half time.

 

The first proceedings of the game waited for a responds from the home side but the defense of Bechem United remained resolute and intrepid for Olympics to penetrate throughout the entire half.

 

In the second half, Accra Great Olympics came in strongly to get the responds by probing Bechem United for answers.  Through that, they won a penalty and was planted home smoothly by Gray Englebert to reduce the deficit by one.

 

As and when fans of the home side thought Olympics were going to get the best out of the second half, Amed Toure increased the lead for Bechem United to mare the hopes of the home side coming back into the game.

 

Bechem United won the outstanding game by three goals to one at the Accra Sports Stadium.

 

This results leaves Accra Great Olympics another reason to ponder over how to survive relegation at this early stage of the season as they have lost three games and drew one, thus far.

 

Bechem United will rise up to the 9th position with four points out of a possible nine with one game still left to spare to match the four games played in the season whiles Accra Great Olympics languish at the bottom of the league log with a point after four matches.
