WAFA's Majeed Ashimeru targets GPL Goal King Award

The 20-year-old has revealed that the top scorer award of the Ghana Premier League is his prime target for this season.

West African Football Academy midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru, has set sights on winning the golden shoe of the ongoing Ghanaian top-flight league.

The young enforcer says it won't be an easy task to achieve but all depends on hard work and determination.

Ashimeru was on the score sheet for his side in their massive 4-1 away win over defending champions, Wa All Stars on Sunday.

“I’m working towards winning the top goal scorer of the season. It’s going to be tough because there are other players out there who want to achieve that but with hard work and determination, I will win that award with the help of my team mates.” he told GNA Sports

“To achieve my target I have to continue scoring for my side. I want to see my team in the top four.”

Ashimeru has netted two goals for the Academy boys this season.
