Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued their impressive run in their mid-season friendlies after thumping Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
Coach Akakpo Patron and his charges managed to beat Berekum Chelsea 3-0 in their encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Kumasi-based club dominated the first department of the match as they manage to register one goal.
Winger Kwame Boahene opened floodgate for the Porcupine Warriors with a brilliant finish on the 15th minute after connecting a corner-kick from Prince Acquah.
Duo Stephen Amankona and Collins Ameyaw piled much pressure on the Kotoko but the failed to snatch the leveller in the first half.
The first ended in a 1-0 victory in favor of Asante Kotoko.
Berekum Chelsea gained possession to mount pressure on the homesters in the early minutes of the second department.
Stephen Amankona could have equalised for the Blues lads but his strikes in the 48th and 54th minute were cooled by goalkeeper Felix Annan.
Burkina Faso international Songne Yacouba  doubled the score for the home side on the 52nd minute of the game.
Kotoko continued dominating the match as they sealed their victory in the dying embers of the game.
On the 90th minute, Yacouba got his second goal of the day to complete their home win.
Berekum Chelsea could have grabbed a consolation on the 93rd minute from the spot but the penalty-kick was wasted by Stephen Amankona.
