Ghana is committed to fight against doping in football - Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah declares Featured

The Minister of Youth and Youth, Isaac Asiamah has declared government commitment to ensure that cases of doping and other forms of cheating are completely eradicated from football.
 
The Sports Minister has reiterated government intention to make sure that the country's football is free from doping and cheating.
 
Addressing delegates at a meeting of the Africa zone VI Regional Doping Organization, RDO, in Accra yesterday, Asiamah said “As a country which has signed onto the international convention against doping in sports. Ghana is prepared to ensure that we support and commit to the fight against doping in sports".
 
"This is a commitment coming from the president of the land (Nana Akuffo Addo). He is very much committed to this course to ensuring that we maintain purity in sports,” he ended.
 
This comes after Ghana premier league winner Anokye Badu tested positive for banned substance in CAF Confederation Cup match between Aduana stars and Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in May.
