TAKEOVER: Wa All Stars FC renamed; now Stallions FC Featured

New owners of the 2016 Ghana Premier League champions have officially renamed the club.

Former Ghana international John Paintsil and his partners who purchased Wa All Stars have changed its name to Stallions FC.
The Wa based club which was sold to the former Fulham and Black Stars defender after its owner, Kwesi Nyantakyi was handed a lifetime ban by FIFA from all football related activities.
It is believed that Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi sold the club to new owners led by John Paintsil around USD 2.5 million.
"My team of investors and I are now the new owners of Stallions FC previously called Wa All Stars," John Paintsil told footyghana
"This name was changed by special resolution with the approval of the registry of companies on 28th February 2018.
"It was incorporated under the companies Act 1963 (Article 179) as a company limited by guarantee"
Stallions FC have already confirmed to participate in the GFA Normalization Committee Special Competition which will kickoff this weekend.
Stallions FC, previously called Wa All Stars FC gained promotion to the Ghanaian top-flight during the 2007/18 season.
