NC Special Cup Report: Dreams FC 1-0 Hearts of Oak - Still Believe Boys edge past Hearts

Dreams FC ended their GFA Normalization Committee Special Cup tier 1 campaign with a home victory over Hearts of Oak.

The Still Believe lads managed to inflict a 1-0 defeat on Hearts of Oak at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Saturday afternoon.
The Phobians looked dangerous in the early minutes as Obeng Junior and Kofi Kordzi tried with audacious strikes but they were denied by goalkeeper Isaac Amoako.
Hearts made an early substitution as Selassie Bakai replaced Anthony Quayson who sustained injury on the 21st minute.
On the 28th minute, Richard Addae nearly opened the score for the home side but his strike went wide as well as Benjamin Agyare of Hearts on the 32nd minute.
Youngster Issah Ibrahim ended the first department of the match in a 1-0 victory in favor of Dreams FC with his goal on the 37th minute of the game.
The solid defense of Dreams FC comprising Abdallah Yakubu, Montari Kamahene, Masawudu Abdallah and Kingsley Owusu prevented the visitors from netting the equaliser in the second half.
The game ended in a 1-0 win for Dreams FC.
Hearts of Oak have already qualified to the semis of the competition and will be facing their arch rivals Asante Kotoko on 16th June, 2019 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
