NC SPECIAL CUP: Hearts of Oak's Mohammed Alhassan hints of stopping Kotoko duo

Hearts of Oak stalwart defender Mohammed Alhassan has hinted to stop Asante Kotoko top strikers Abdul Fatawu Shafiu and Songne Yacouba ahead of their semi-final duel in the Normalisation Committee Special Cup Tier One on Sunday.

Hearts will host their arch rivals Kotoko in a one-off match in the semi-final of the Normalisation Committee's Tier 2  Special Competition at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, June 16, 2019.
Alhassan, who was axed from the Black Stars final squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, has hinted to stop Kotoko's top strikers Abdul Fatawu, who is the leading top scorer in the competition with 8 goals and Songne Yacouba, who has been battling with injury ahead of the mouthwatering fixture.
The 27-year-old defender said that no striker has given him a rugged competition in all the matches he has featured for the Phobians in the NC Special Cup.
"I usually don't talk prior to a game. I've never play against them (Songne Yacouba and Abdul Fatawu Shafiu) before. But no player has ever bullied me to score," Alhassan Mohammed told
"I don't think I've met a tougher opposition in the Special Competition."
Alhassan Mohammed and Abdul Fatawu will arrive in this country today (Wednesday) after they were dropped from Ghana's coach Kwesi Appiah final 23-man squad to the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
